Frequently Asked Questions
At Disamare, we attach great importance to the origin of our materials. We work mainly with native species from Canada. This means that the wood we use for our pieces grows here, in our Canadian forests, thus ensuring traceability and ecological sustainability to our pieces.
Each piece of wood we use is unique, carrying within it the history of the tree from which it comes. Natural variations in color, texture and grain are precious elements that make each Disamare piece authentic and unique. We carefully select each board to highlight its natural beauty.
All Disamare pieces are meticulously made in our workshop located in the Montreal, Quebec region. This is where our family brings each piece to life, paying close attention to every detail. We also collaborate with a local lampshade artisan, anchoring our commitment to the local economy and artisanal know-how.
We are taking concrete steps to reduce our ecological footprint. This includes sourcing local raw materials wherever possible, favoring wood species that come from our Canadian forests. We also use high quality hardware with minimal use of plastic, favoring durable and environmentally friendly materials. Our packaging products are made from recycled materials and are themselves recyclable.

You have a 48-hour window from confirmation of your purchase to cancel your order. If you have any questions or changes to make, please contact us as soon as possible.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Disamare. However, as pieces are made to order, once the 48 hour cancellation period has passed, orders are considered non-refundable.
Taking care of your Disamare pieces is essential to preserve their beauty and durability. We recommend cleaning the wooden surface with a soft cloth lightly dampened with mild soapy water. Avoid the use of abrasive substances which could damage the varnish or cause scratches. Regular maintenance will allow your pieces to maintain their natural shine and accompany you for years to come.
